Within the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, there are clubs and organizations that students can join and attend. These clubs offer activities for students to learn about various career fields and spend time with fellow students outside of the classroom.

Stay tuned next quarter where more clubs will be featured. Thank you to the club representatives for sharing information about their clubs.

Crops Club

Crops Club focuses on bringing in agriculture industry leaders to discuss industry jobs from crop protection, irrigation management, to a variety of different crop production areas. We focus on helping our members attain internships, career advice, and pave their pathway within our growing agriculture industry.

Crops Club meets at 6:30pm in the Crops Unit. Meetings are followed by a BBQ and an opportunity to mingle with our industry speakers.

Agricultural Leadership Society

Agricultural Leadership Society’s focus is on building leadership and professional development skills with members across CAFES. While we still encompass CFFA and ATA, we are really trying to diversify our club to include students with all career paths.

Los Lecheros Dairy Club

Los Lecheros Dairy Club is an organization that strives to bring together its members who have an interest and passion for the dairy industry and dairy cattle. The organization enables its members to get involved in the dairy program and learn about opportunities within the dairy industry.  The Los Lecheros Dairy Club participates in many events in the dairy program, CAFES, and its community. The club has industry representatives speak at various meetings, performs community service each quarter, has a booth at Open House, puts on a banquet at the end of the year, and more.

Meetings are held every month, with our next meeting on November 8th. Every meeting is held on a Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the Dairy Pavilion (at the Dairy Unit). Club email:

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) is a national association. The Cal Poly chapter strives to build relationships among agricultural communication professionals, college students, and faculty. We want to provide professional and academic development for members and to promote agriculture through communications efforts. Our students have the opportunity to enter their work in the national contest, network with professionals, and attend communication workshops. We have been the small club of the year for four years in a row!
